A place to experience design
The 2015 and 2016 site menus linked an “Innovation plus Design Style Cafe” project page. A DITP publication describes the concept as a cafe-style exhibition combining product design, innovation and environmental ideas with a sensory visitor experience. It is best read as an exhibit concept within that period, not as a cafe we have verified to be open today.
The format matters because it puts designed objects in an everyday setting. Rather than viewing a product on a plinth, a visitor could encounter how a designed environment and product story work together. That is the project idea the surviving sources support; details of individual displays need their own records.
